Lately, I‘ve been thinking of how much trees can really help us feel connected to nature and how planting trees can be a way to give back to an earth that has given us so much (or that we have taken so much from!)
Trees are an integral part of our environment. They clean the air and provide the oxygen we breathe; they cool cities and streets; they provide shade; they are shelter for wildlife; they provide food; they're our source of the wood we use for so many different things; they help prevent soil erosion; they help reduce the effects of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide; they have even been proven to reduce stress. I think it’s pretty safe to say we need trees and we need our children to appreciate how important trees are to our environment. Planting a tree together can be a great way to connect to nature, learn about trees, and care for our world!
Are you looking for some books to teach your kids about the importance of trees? See if one of these works for you! Do you have any book suggestions??? Please let me know! I'm always looking for new books :)
