I was looking through the pictures on my phone recently and realized there is a noticeable difference in the amount of photographs I have taken in 2020 compared to previous years. There are a few pictures from a quick trip to the beach and some of a weekend camping trip we took. I grabbed a few snapshots of the kids in the backyard once. Oh, and I took a couple of pictures of our newly adopted dog. But that’s it. I haven’t been capturing much of our daily life and outdoor excursions and I think that’s because this year is different. Our daily life is different. Our excursions are different. Our time in nature is different.
I don’t know about you, but my sense of time has become warped this year and Summer seems to be ending just 2 days after it started. Looking through my lack of photographs, I see that I let this season slip by without properly enjoying my time in the sun, finding joy in nature, frolicking (yes, frolicking!) in the woods. But Summer isn’t over quite yet and although life is different right now, nature is still out there waiting to be explored and adventures are waiting to be had. So I thought I would put together a bucket list of sorts to end Summer with a bang. It’s not long but achievable!
What kinds of things have you not gotten the chance to do this Summer? What adventures are waiting for you? Where can you go to explore this last bit of Summer before Fall graces us with its own beauty? What would you add to your own bucket list? I know life is different right now but that doesn’t mean you can’t put together your own list and take advantage of these last few weeks of Summer!
